Trading is such a goddamn mess

So I decided to turn my chaos orbs into exalts. Did what I had to do - went deep down into the trading window, found a guy who had a middle of the road amount and went to trade for a big number, 4 in this case.

He invited me, but wait, there were like 4 other people he was servicing. So I waited patiently but, of course, other people asked to trade with me, time doesn't freeze after all. It was a good deal too. So I invited them but unbeknownst to me the guy I had to wait for to trade with invited more people and the party became full. I realized that too late. By the time I left the party and reinvited the guy - poof, he didn't want to trade with me anymore. Found someone else from the dozens of people he whispered no doubt.

So in the end I was left with nothing.

At this point it is telling that trading tires me more than actually playing the game.

I love trade.

It's nice knowing that there are other people playing the game, albeit a short interaction. Also, trade is where you make BANK! So it's awesome in that sense too.
This game has the worst trade of any game Ive ever played

Yes, you can cherry pick certain periods of MMOs that were worse over 20 years ago (Everquest) but that was quickly fixed.

The hubris of GGG to do ZERO improvements to a known problem (from Chris, not me) is mind boggling.

Trade is fine, you shouldn't be able to make trades and log out and generate money by not playing or interacting with the game. This is the biggest issue with Auction Houses to me or their equivalents

Although there are getting to be too many items to sell. When I really need money I just unload my entire stash into a stash tab and undercut everybody and I end up trading for 30-60 minutes and don't actually play the game itself in that time. Used to be a lot shorter with fewer items, but it's not like money is scarce this league

Do you consider sitting in your hideout buying and selling to be interacting with the game?

Of course technically it is, as a market simulator.

All the flaws of an auction house are already here, with none of the upsides.
you have to create a forum thread just because one guy didnt trade with you ?

maybe you should find an active guild ..

also you can just offer your chaos for exalt in your stash .
then people (bots)will spam you, until you sold all orbs.
They have to limit trades to 1-5 per day. At this state the trade is very similar to cheat. Stop complaining about it. This game is NOT trade simulator, it is ARPG.

I believe this is called "the last drop".
Trading is ez compared to old days with only trade chat and town board to advertise.

After that they made forums trade where we could upload items to forums with third party apps.

Then we got a searchable data base, not from GGG but from poe.trade.

Now GGG has it's own trade database to search.

It's a work in progress. lol
Git R Dun!

Would be nice if the trade database didn't slow down on an almost daily basis, lol

Also - imagine a country where cars are not allowed and you can only travel via horse-driven carriages. This is ez compared to the time when the wheel was not invented, alright
