Child's Play Charity

Tuition is coming up soon but I've had an ok month at work, cheers man.

One of the many great charities to choose from. I get paid tomorrow and i'll upload my donation picture as soon as it gets deposited!

Really like the interaction and involvement of this community, it's actually refreshing for the most part.

Chris, charity donation is important and I donate to the red cross every year. However, please understand many forum users will be upset if they donated only to be denied a beta key. Please clarify the details before more people start donating in hopes for a beta key.

i think everybody would appreciate getting a beta key regardles if they donated or not. but just donating in hope they will get a beta key sounds ice-cold to me :(

I'm not sure I agree with the bold. The government itself motivates the public to donate by making the donated amount tax deductable. I fail to see how it would be "ice cold" donating in the hopes of getting a key in comparison to just waiting for the ticker or winning one in a contest.

A good majority of the people you'd see donating on a gaming site aren't millionaires or rich people. It's one thing for Bill Gates to give away $20 billion dollars when he's got another $40 billion in the bank, but for someone who isn't rich, has debt and other responsibilites; sometimes there needs to be a motivator.

As stated in the op though, this is not intended to be the case with the thread.

In the end, who is more ice cold? Someone who donated to charity for a key or someone who did nothing to get it?
