I'm pretty positive I'm getting DDOS'd

once upon a time I was a content creator who loved this game.

But I am a Minority, and i got a huge ammount of hate, even from the #1 streamer in the section.

Ever since. The game is literally unplayable due to massive ping spikes and hitching.

Can't tell if troll or just dumb post but please stop posting stupid stuff like this when we have other important issues we need dealt with that actually affect the game. Who knows what you have on your computer or what sort of internet you have but don't blame people for ddoss'ing when you I highly doubt you are important enough to do it to.

Try to play using a VPN, maybe it is your ISP that is throttling things

Also make sure windows isn't downloading an update in the background

Check if it is not a virus that is eating your bandwidth

If you have wifi enabled, try changing the password (someone might be stealing it to download stuff, i have been doing this when i was a student lol)


You can use process hacker to check activity on your PC in depth (cpu usage, net usage etc) https://processhacker.sourceforge.io/nightly.php (nightly is latest version)

If you're on WiFi, that's likely the problem. Try running a cable to your router to see if it improves things.

Updating your network driver might also make a difference.

Another thing to try is to reset your Windows network stack by open a command prompt as administrator and running:

netsh int ip reset
netsh winsock reset

Reboot your computer.

It most likely is. You aren't hosting any kind of web service when playing a game. Quite to the contrary actually - you are the client.

Anyway, there are over9000 tools to analyze network protocols to at least have some proof to this claim, otherwise see the start of the first sentence.

How "the dudes" came up with that kind of information firsthand? My guess would be either they work in some kind of FBI/CIA/Interpol (joking of course), or you leaked some personal information in the internetz, which you honestly shouldn't.
