Yes. Through vendors you can trade Alteration > Jeweler > Fusing/Chromatic

For sure.
It takes 4 Transmutation through a vendor to obtain an Augmentation, which it then takes 4 of those to obtain an Alteration.

An alt is worth, by the vendor rates, 16x a xmute. Since players generally don't deal in xmutes, the vendor rate is really all we have to go by.

The vendor rate for Chromatic doesn't work this way -- there is a vendor recipe (a linked green-blue-red item) that gives Chromatics rather easily, which makes the player trades value alts slightly higher than chroms.

Please don't buy Chromatics from the vendor.

u can get 1alch per stack of transmutations though easily cause at end levels players need them for maps and getting quick wisdom scrolls.
