After Joining my account with steam my characters got removed.

Yesterday I was trying to get path of building working and had trouble connecting it to my account. I remembered I had account with different email address on the pathofexile.com then on steam I was still in game and ablo to do stuff with my characters. I switched to the other account on the page and connected the steam and the page, then disconnected again. Now I have the old mail account and poe website connected and my characters are gone. Can you please help me?

You can’t merge multiple Path of Exile accounts; if you link a new one to your Steam account, the existing link with your original account will be overwritten. What you should have done is logged out of the other account, gone to the website’s log in page, and used the Sign In Through Steam option.

If you email support@grindinggear.com GGG can reverse this for you. Give them all the information you can (e.g. email address, character names).

Never tell them - or anyone else - your password, though.
