[Victory!] GGG fixed multithreading bug! Actually it's now REVERSED.

After 3.16.3 I had to disable hyper-threading in BIOS on my PC cause of unbearable CPU spikes and stutters in multithreading mode.

Thank GOD they fixed it in 3.17!!!!!11

But now the situations is reversed, no CPU spikes with hyper-threading enabled in BIOS, - but same spikes with HT disabled =)

And those spikes completely vanish when Engine Multithreading is disabled in Graphics Options, just as before with HT enabled.

It's hilarious.

But seriously GGG THANKS YOU A LOT!!!!!!! Didn't think you'll make it so fast.

Now tell the coders not to touch or change anything, or they break it again.

=)

Problem still exists, my CPU is going crazy with MT on (in game). Obviously that's a big performance hit to play w/o it, is there any other solutions?

Learn to use Process Lasso, and this won't be an issue anymore

Because definitely we need to debug and go to a school before playing a game...That's the purpose of a poorly optimize game , to just enforce IT schools.

it's one thing to need separate tools to play a game (discord trades, trade sites, path of building...) It's another to need another software just to run the game lol so that was a stupid solution to a problem that isn't the end user's fault

that being said I've never had this problem though

Please for the love of Saint Anna, stop replying to threads where you have no idea what you're talking about.

Hyper-threading is an Intel feature, GGG/CW have literally zero control over it.

Understanding how HT works is a key to improving performance, for all games.
There's a spike for like 2 seconds for me when I log in, after that it's buttery smooth again. Not sure what's causing it.
Multithreading seems to be much better this patch for some odd reason.
HC balance should be separate from SC I don't care which outdated 1993 game dev philosophy this goes against. youtube/twitch.tv/DESPAIR268

REVERT SUNDER :) REVERT SEISMIC CRY :) REVERT IMPALER :) REVERT GAME :)) MAKE DUALWIELD GREAT AGAIN :)
