What are yours plan to farm scarabs? what is the best to get expedition ones?

Best way to farm scarabs is and always has been delirium and simulacrums. If you can do wave 30 simulacrums, you usually get 2-3ex in scarabs each run. If you farm your own simulacrums using scarab delirium orbs, you'll have a steady supply of them and then a big pay off from the simulacrum.

If simulacrum is too rough for you, heist doing contracts that have a heavy amount of Map Fragments and then having your operatives wear anything with % chance to duplicate scarabs is another good source.

In the new 3.17, we gain access to a new operative strongbox. It has a 6% chance to spawn if you take the atlas tree node. Strong boxes are on the atlas tree, so if you load up on all the strongbox nodes and run those, you'll probably get a scarab box ever 4 maps or so.

Just do Simulacrums as early as you can. If you can get to wave 20, it's already given you 2x return from your investment. Everything after that is a bonus.

Problem is they might be only low tier ones and not sure how many will drop from each one. I've personally opted out of that node for now.

I'd also focus on Similacrums if Scarabs are your main focus. Copy that with the Scarab nodes on the tree, which should be worth it - at least if you're already traveling northwest on the Atlas tree.

The strongboxes need to be tested. How many? How high tiers? Is it based on map tiers? We'll soon know. I'm going to spec into those nodes just to test, as I like to test stuff out myself.

1) run a lot of syndicate
2) don't reflexively kick J-Anus out

or

a) run a lot of sims
b) use profits from non-scarab rows of loot to buy scrabs
The most reliable way of getting winged scarabs is to cram intervention full of guys like a clown car and then go do Catarina.

It's not hard - I went to acts several times to clear prophecies and almost half of them (like, hundreds of times) I got randomly jumped. It's usually the first encounter you have on every zone with a syndicate in it. let the 3-star ppl walk and enmesh the others. Visiting 3-stars assisting in intervention will often drop a gilded scarab on their way out the door. Opportunity cost = 0. Level requirement = pretty much 0.
