is "nearby" an area?
say i take "nearby enemies are chilled" from a cluster or influenced chest,
and want to use algor mortis, ((20-30)% chance to Sap Enemies in Chilling Areas; Enemies in your Chilling Areas take (25-35)% increased Lightning Damage) could that work? Unknown rule type: SetFondSize Last bumped on Feb 1, 2022, 7:36:46 PM

"nearby" means something different for each skill and effect.
It's become a meme, its so absurd. Here is the wiki post detailing different distances, and the many "nearby"s https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Distance Last edited by Odif#4251 on Feb 1, 2022, 6:49:03 PM

Nearby is NOT an area it is a radius. Chilling Areas => ground effects caused by kills which apply chilling (most likely through cold damage) If you want to use the gloves, you have to use something like vortex to create chilling areas. Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me.

" well said, makes it understandable, ty :) unfortunately also means it applies the same way to necros "near corpses". well, that leaves me with triggers for cold spells on a light build... thats just nay. Unknown rule type: SetFondSize

More than just about anything I want GGG to replace nearby with "ina radius of # units."

" at least when pressing alt, i agree. just a number, or maybe even show the radius as a colored shade if item is EQ'ed. Unknown rule type: SetFondSize
