Wind Ward on Forbidden Flame/Flesh jewels would be terrible
There was no mention of a rework for Wind Ward in the 3.17.0 Content release. If Forbidden Flame/Forbidden Flesh can roll this modifier it would only be useful for Deadeyes that have already taken Gathering Winds.
Simplest workaround would be to disable this mod from the jewels (similar to how Skin of the Lords has some Keystones that don't roll) Last bumped on Jan 28, 2022, 3:00:17 AM

its not terrible for deadeyes, gives them access to a defensive mechanic without using the ascendancy points.
Skin of the lords only has keystones disabled because it can issues, not because they might be bad(aka necromantic aegis gives your shields stats to a minion, but the shield is giving you an attribute required to equip the skin of the lords(requirements from socketed gems) causing an infinite loop. not everything needs to be usable by everyone(of the relevant base class) |

" If there's a Deadeye that wants to to use 5 big Deadeye ascendancy nodes, they could still use a different set of Forbidden Flame/Forbidden Flesh. I'm not advocating that everything needs to be usable by everyone, but Wind Ward has zero use if a player doesn't have access to Gale Force (which in 3.16 only comes from Deadeye's Gathering Winds) -- this is just something that could have been easily overlooked and should likely be addressed if it hasn't already. | |
i admire your positive outlook
my take on it: these jewels are going to be Hateforge-level rare :) here, problem solved. |

" exactly, so getting a Wind Ward Forbidden jewel would be like getting a Mageblood that dropped corrupted into rare |
