Just so you know, that e-mail address isn’t currently in use as GGG have stopped providing technical support.
GGG do not offer first-party Technical Support.

Hi,

for those who have a slow internet connection they share with other people in the house, it would be nice if the patch client would have a way to limit the download bandwith to a fixed Kb/s rate.

With my wife, we are working at home, and when I download a patch like the last one (4Gb), it eats my networks bandwidth for several hours, and we cannot work properly during this long time...

This feature is a classic feature on any other client download applications.

Thanks for your help.

oh, thanks for the info.
did they announce that anywhere?

i ever wondered why they bothered with people having shitty providers or buggy plastic routers when they have telemetry in place to learn about their machines having any connectivity issues but i thought they were interested in certain hardware or drivers causing issues.

well, i guess people will still mail them those to the support address.

Initially they had in a sticky thread & made it sound like a short-term thing. That was a few years ago now, and I’m not clear on whether they’re “still” not doing it or are not doing it “again”. Recently a member of GGG reached out to me about one of my guide threads asking that I edit the address out of the post, which is why it’s on my mind again.

well, I supposed there must be some applications, but as I said, this feature is a classic feature on any other client download applications (steam, battlenet, etc...), so why not in POE ?

I suspect the question answers itself.

With Path of Exile being available through Steam (for most users), reproducing any of the functionality offered by Steam is likely very low on the list of priorities. If PoE is available through Steam where you live, it may be worth switching over to the other client - though it would mean a reinstall.

No offence to anyone. However, I'm shocked by the logic. Path of Exile is a game and there are loooooooottss of other games then why Path of Exile is there?

P.S.: Yes, I was searching for how to limit PoE updater bandwidth.
