Hydrosphere Got Bricked In Balance Changes (IMO) - Good Or Bad?

A lot of strike skills were designed for a lot less mob congestion and are heavily outdated, and either need removed altogether (something GGG hasn't done often with Gems), or need total reworks.

But other strike skills are so OP they outdo spells and sometimes even minions.

There's not a single "OP" strike skill. Is there a couple of strong ones? Sure. "OP"? No.

A lot of strike skills were designed back in the days, yes - but would still be fine if they just helped the damage a little bit, maybe help Melee Splash and Ancestral Call a little bit too. Certain strike skills actually need both of them unless they have access to 10ex+ gear.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
Good, as I was bored of every build I played being skill plus Hydrosphere. I like the idea of GGG uncoupling builds from Uniques and other skills.

Such as CoC being better without non unique items, as many CoC builds used either Cospri's Malice or Mjolnir.

Another example are Voidfletcher and various Unique bows being the best or most used items, rather than rares. So changing Orb of Storms and Hydrosphere so they're not used many every builds is a good move.

Flicker with Perma Frenzy charges can destroy a 160 mil HP Kosis on 100% Delerium in 15 seconds. To me that's OP.

Wild Strike has some seriously strong builds that can kill bosses in less than 10 hits.

The rest..... I personally haven't experienced in a long time. Still....
Happy that the argument of "Strike skills are fine because they have Hydrosphere" vanished nevertheless pretty sad and boring to see no buffs for weak Strike Skills that are in dire need of buffs.

Glacial Hammer is losing its Splash Damage threshold jewel and is now basically a worse Heavy Strike.

Now we get Harry Potter league for casters. Well looks like first time I gonna skip a expansion completely. Currently enjoying another game way more anyway.

I'm pretty disappointed too for much the same reason, nerf to GH, heavy strike and anything that liked hydrosphere feels real bad when they replaced it with nothing.

Why don't they not address it until they are gonna fix it? They didn't introduce anything this league that interacts with hydrosphere so all they've done is make some builds shitter, earlier.

For a developer that usually cites certain changes under the guise of we don't do X because its not a good enough solution this one feels about as sloppy as you can get.

It's not about the actual Berserker class getting 50+ rage... It's about non-berserkers gaining free access to rage quickly before bossing. With this change you can still do it -just costs you some serious time.

Flicker got a serious buff in two forms:

The mark system inherently was changed to benefit skills like Discharge and Flicker that consume charges. Attack Mark on Hit to Vengeance on a Flicker build and you can use that strongly.

The second is that they added a new mastery that gives an ADDITIONAL 10% Chance to gain Frenzy on hit.

For the record, that puts Raider at 35% (with Multistrike you'll gain at least 1 per attack) and it puts Scion Raider at where Ranger Raider used to be.

So, while flicker was nerfed by the limitation of Hydrosphere, it essentially just became massively more sustainable with less pauses so it doesn't actually NEED a Hydrosphere anymore.
