Map mod balance... Well it sucks Balls!!!

lol so ur saying its a bad thing that certain builds are affected by certain map mods and others aren't?

The only bad mod right now that should be removed is reflect, everything else is manageable. You're supposed to read the mods & reroll the map if it disables your build, heck even sell it to others who can. There's a reason reroll currency and trading exists. You can even reroll corrupted maps now with harvest.

I know that ppl don't wanna read anything, blindly alch/vaal and go & expect to run all content on all builds - but that's not a realistic expectation from a game like this.

LOL. I could so do that better.

If the only goal is to get people to spend currency on maps. Than have extremely rare sought after mods. Like a mod with less than 1% chance to roll that gives you currency or something. A map mod so good someone might actually be willing to put an ex on it. As no way anyone would do that with today mods.

Also the game requires you to run corrupted maps. This combined with the fact the mod is anti build. So instead of what I just suggested. Atlas bonus could be only if you run the map with X mod on it. While this just adds another layer of crap to the system. And has a peek time when all bonus are clear. Still better than what we got.

If what your saying is true. And the goal is only to get people to spend currency re-rolling a map. I could accomplish it 50 other different ways. Without having this crappy after taste. I just listed 2 and hadn't spent time brainstorming it. Hell I could think of ways to make it work with masters, and other things.

All they have done is made a feel bad system. That requires you to waste time re-rolling maps. And that is ever more time if you want to play in a party. As now you got two or more different builds you got to worry about.

Nothing about mods modifying your in game avatar stats is a good thing.

This is so true.

I almost always get cannot regen life when I vaal my map. I don't even bother selling the crap cause I can't stand trading in this game. Half the time, I'm doing something I can't leave. So the maps just sit in my tab taunting me.
Well in 3.16 they increased weightings for some of the really bad mods making effectively take twice as long and cost twice as much to roll your maps to the point I just gave up on the league after 2 weeks ( I normally play the whole three months).

I was fed up with the overall nerfs to melee attack speed and damage on the tree and the skill point tax for masteries, but the changes to the affix weightings are what really put me over the edge of no longer wanting to play the game. Having to roll maps five times to get map combinations that aren't lethal is not my idea of a fun time and currency sink.

The only reason I'm on the forums is checking up on news on the new league to see if things are going to remain rubbish for strike skills and map rolling, and if it doesn't change I will continue to enjoy all the extra time I seem to have on my hands now I no longer play.

Why should anyone be forced to use a specific flask? Especially because of a random map mod?

Yes, because of a random map mod, and no, it's because they don't want to reroll the random map mod.

LOL yah because you are never required to corrupt a mod. And have to re-get the whole map.

Re-roll corrupted mods... Hmm I should save every map and pray for a the random harvest to allow me to re-roll it. And that it doesn't re-roll with the same mod. Ya no thanks.

I knew every comment defending this would be with blinders on. And is the reason I don't comment often. [Removed by Support]. I cannot see any reasonable argument as to why mods effect the players build. And the best arguments fanboys can come up with is. You can just reroll it. Well the game can just remove it. It's the same exact argument. At least I give reasons why its bad. You can't give any reasons why rerolling it is good.

Yah... A patch all about atlas and map changes.

Oh wait they only removed one player build effecting mod called point blank. That affected less builds than probable any other mod. Fuck this game. I'll come back when I don't have to think about random crappy map mods while creating a build. Its retarded logic I don't want to deal with.

If you hold yourself to that, that probably means we'll never see you again. Therefore, in the name of the PoE community I wish you luck with the life, universe and everything, may you find what you seek and may the force be with you.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.
