Besides removing Prophecy, how about COMBINING similar league mechanics in 3.17?

Fully agree with merging Ritual with Ultimatum.
Ritual is irritating because I gotta find each altar. Worst yet, having to figure out which one will drop the most favour and do them in order from hardest to easiest to maximize tribute. Ultimatum was garbage, because only a few choice builds could survive the encounters, the rewards weren't rewarding enough, and you lost it all if you messed up. Combined, you could have one altar, keep adding layers of challenge and earn more tribute, and then spend tribute when it's over. Or, if you die, you could still use the tribute earned to at get something for your efforts. .... Also, while on the topic of merging leagues. It was announced that Scourge wasn't going Core. Why not merge it with an existing mechanic, like Delirium or Beyond? Don't need the Krangler. Just want a way to continue to collect tainted currencies. |

Pure gambling mechanics such as scourge should probably in future be merged together with one another, to provide a more pure gambling experience for people who like that sort of thing, and put the "build a bear" and "gardening sim" or "relationship sim" stuff together so that it fits thematically.
Big content blocks like syndicate or heist or incursion need their own space and can secondarily accommodate other, smaller expansions. E.g. a breach room in the temple, breach nodes in delve, ITF licking your raw stones to polish them up nice and smoooth...lick lick lick...it feels so smooth now, put it on its tongue, there it goes...see what it means? Expedition seems big, because there's 4 HO dudes and lots of junk taking up real estate in maps, but all it is in essence, is legion with a croupier. Theoretically you could consolidate al the dudes into one (say Dannig) who can then take over the 4 various functions of the others, and expeditions could perhaps include or be included in other content. The blasting mechanic would have to go, or be included in some other blasting mechanic (Delve?), but as it is now is the most player-autonomous way of implementing it. Putting it in Delve would link it to preexisting Delve blastable structures, which takes away player build-it-yourself agency which is key for the gimmick of collecting runic loots. Ritual and ultimatum only really share one thing, and that's a circle. Honestly, stop saying the two should be merged. One gives you a special shop, the other one just vaals your potential drop table. I would much rather have a funky little shop that carries over from map to map, and lets you layaway juicy items across a league, than yet more double-or-nothing gambling. Ritual is unique in this sense and worth deeper exploration as a shop and way to transfer xp and quant from map to map. In fact rit could be used to pack up a LOT of other leagues' content and vial them into other instances, make mapdevice mods, target farm beasts/organs, or even get extra maven witnesses for ephemeral bosses like Abaxoth or warbands. If ulti comes back it should come back as a room in the temple. Boxes can go, nobody cares about 4 boxes when they can get ALL BOXES elsewhere with sextants/scarabs. Tier 1 and 2 rooms might give you normal ulti, tier 3 a chance at the trialmaster. Merge it with scourge so you get a chance to get scourge currants or something, or flip your temple upside down into a funnel of krangle and run the entire thing in the krangleverse.
