Twitch should ban sponsored streaming and drops.
LOL no. Sponsored streams is just advertisement. You want to ban ads and television because it offers large corporations a medium to advertise as well?

bezos' amazons' twitch is genious: provide a platform where users provide all content, the companies of the games that those users play is paying everything and you're just cashing in on the blight that you brought upon the gaming community.
not really in the mood of ranting or blaming the kids that get abused to shovel cash into bezos' wide pockets but i wonder why the gaming industry isn't starting a revolution against this gigantic blackmail scam. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

" To be fair, he - or anyone at amazon - didn't invent it. I don't know what early Twitch was like and if it was in some way better, I just wanted to state that Bezos wasn't the (evil) genius who invented it. Bird lover of Wraeclast

Saying Twitch should do X or not do X is like saying "I think murderers should stop murdering".
Yeah they should, but they wont. Twitch and amazon are both immoral companies which only care about $. [Removed by Support] Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me. Last edited by Lisa_GGG#0000 on Jan 12, 2022, 5:27:00 PM

There's a saying how greed can be blinding, and what's happening in this scenario. Twitch was supposed to be the platform where players stream their game, but now Twitch is losing millions annually, because often the "just chatting and music" sections average as much views as the whole platform for gaming, and there's only one reason why that's the case.
Twitch is only losing when there's no good products in the market that capture the interest, and that will continue until Twitch doesn't help the indie devs to deliver those products. Most also know how Chris Wilson behind GGG was also an indie company, where a lot of good things happened to them to end up as one success story. Could Twitch have a separate section for "sponsored/advertised" products and other exclusive giveaways (drops)? Absolutely. |
