Nadir mode (GUI icon)

Ice spear, pinpoint for more spears, nadir mode so it doesn't become less spears. Nadir mode says, "lose 1 intensity every 0.5 seconds". Without nadir mode, top-left there is an intensity counter, it goes up with every shot, stays when standing, and goes down when walking. With nadir mode, after firing it shows an intensity icon with no counter. It disappears in around 2 seconds, no matter whether stationary or walking.
Either way seems a bit broken, I expected to see it going down, intensity doesn't change any tooltips, I suppose I can count the spears no problem, but. Noob out. Well I tested it and projectile count checks out, but a working icon would probably be useful in some cases. It also seems safe to spam up to exactly 0.5 cast time, so maybe it loses one before it can gain one, and goes into -1, and dies?
