Valuable, Expensive, Gems. What gems "should" cost what?

Portal gem is 1 exalt? You're completely mad bro. It was 2-3 chaos in open beta.

My gems are worth 1 exalt, your gems are worth 1 alch, this is how we barter in PoE!

You realize you can get a fire trap by just running to town on a new Shadow and you can get a bear trap by opening the Tidal Passage with a new Shadow? If you're paying a chaos for either of those then you're getting severely ripped off. I mean it would literally take you longer to find someone and trade for either of those gems than it would to roll a new Shadow and get them from quests.

I use a Portal Gem and I STILL pick of TP Scrolls.

One reason, WISDOMS. Portals vendor for Wisdoms, therefore they are no different than Wisdoms. And if you WEREN'T a "peasant", you'd know what it was like to have far too many Rare Items that you run out of Wisdoms to use...


This is a thread for what the op "FEELS" these Gems should cost, not what they ACTUALLY cost, so I hope some noobs don't get confused by this..

I could never EVER bring myself to pay a chaos for a gem. Unless its either Multistrike or Enhance (hehe).

Every other gem I would rather go without than pay for.

People seem to throw their alc's around. Am I the only one who levels 2 characters to 55ish and has a total income of 14 alcs on average (combined!)
