Reducing 'maximum recovery per life leech' to zero does not seem to behave correctly

Combining Offering to the Serpent (50% reduced Maximum Recovery per Life Leech) and Replica Soul Strike (80% reduced Maximum Recovery per Life Leech) should result in -130% reduced Maximum Recovery Per Life Leech.

In my understanding of leech, this stat determines the duration of a leech instance. They normally leech 10% of your maximum life, and with 2% recovery per second, a leech instance lasts 5 seconds.

If that 10% is reduced to 0% (or below zero) by stacking the two aforementioned uniques, leech should last 0 seconds.

Despite this, a build using this combination is still able to leech (for an undetermined duration): youtube link.

Tangentially, the build also scales Strength of Blood's less damage taken multiplier to 100%, because it currently appears to scale with global life recovery rate, but I'm sure that has already been reported.

Figures someone would be a sourpuss about this build and go crying to papa, all the while without understanding how it works at all.

Since its obviously going to get nerfed in 3.17 (fun alert) I'll say that just because you have 200%+ leech, doesn't mean you leech anything, because you dont.

Not only have you failed to explain your issue, you're using your time to harrass bug reporters in the bug reports forum of an online game. Something to reflect on.
I don't believe that "reduced maximum recovery per … leech" is the same thing as "reduced maximum total … per second."

Offering to the Serpent reduces the amount of leech possible per hit, which is technically quite different from the maximum total per second or the duration.

Having said that, if the maximum per hit is 0, it shouldn't matter how much you could leech per second, because you shouldn't be leeching anything.

Also, however, the reduced recovery will be offset by any increased recoveries. If you have +31% from some other source, you will still be leeching 1% per hit.

You're not wrong, but an increased value of the 'Maximum Recovery per Life Leech' stat only exists in two places: Slayer's Brutal Fervour passive and Divergent Life Leech Support. The referenced build is using neither.
