All you did was add 80% of the # of accounts to 27% of the # of accounts, getting 7,591 or 107% the total # of accounts...


Although I have looked at the math and it won't sit right in my head, the 80% should include an overlap of 18% from posters in the past 2 weeks(people that have created their account in the past 2 weeks and not viewed the forums since) so add 80% to the remaining 9% of repeat viewers and we are still missing 11% of accounts somewhere?

Perhaps you could clarify that, I tend to let computers do my calculating for me these days lol.

Still very nice work though.


Edit: Is the missing 11% the percentage of accounts that have viewed the forums more than once but not in the past 2 weeks? because I think that would resolve it for me.

It can't be that both

80% of all accounts have not even visited the forum

and

27% of all accounts have viewed the forum

are true.

I thought that part will be obvious, so I did harder part - adding :o))

If you read what I wrote, it says 80% have not visited since they were made 27% have visited in past two weeks. This means there are accounts that have been made in the past two weeks and have never returned since they were made. Those accounts are overlapped by both statistics. Makes sense to me.

There were some cracks in the calculation I did that accounts fell through. You're right that some of the missing 11% come from accounts that visited the forum again but not in the past two weeks. Some more of the 11% comes from accounts that were made in the last two weeks and visited the forum since they were made. By that I mean an account that was made 8 days ago and visited again 6 days ago does not fit in the 9% figure or the 80% figure.

If 27% visited forum = 73% never visited it, not 80%.
If 80% never visited = 20% visited it, not 27%.

If second statement is true, for a 1st statement to be true it should say "You'll see that 27% of accounts made in last 2 weeks have viewed the forum." If that is what you ment to say, it's very different to what you actualy said.

Have not visited = never visited.
"Have not visited since they were made" = visited on day account was made but not again.

I know what I meant to say and it's exactly what I said. I'm sorry that everyone seemed to understand that distinction except for you.

BTW, don't asume everyone but me understood it. Majority of PoE "subscribers", including me, don't have english as primary language. Also, some that do have it probably didn't understood "the deal" neither ):o=
