Need help with Trigger socketed spell on Wand

I'm trying to get desecrate to trigger bone offering on my crafted wand, with lifetap support on either one of them.

I tried many combinations of color and links on the wand but everytime it won't allow me to manually cast desecrate. Is it impossible or is there a sequence on the wand?

Or Lifetap just doesn't work with bone offering?

If you have them both in the trigger wand, it's not possible to self-cast either of them as they'll both be supported by the trigger. You'll need to move the Desecrate somewhere else if that's how you're set up.

Also, I'm pretty sure those trigger wands ignore cast time on the skills they trigger. This can cause problems when the triggered skill is dependent on the main skill you cast to trigger it. For Offerings, the corpses it have to exist before the offering is cast. You can't raise the corpses and cast the offering at the same time, which is what happens when triggers ignore cast time.

thanks for the explanation. so if both are in the wand will either trigger when I cast summon skeletons?

YEs, any castable skills will do so if in that wand.

yes they both trigger, but the corpses appear with the short delay so they will not be used by offering from this trigger event. It was made like that to prevent this from working.

Triggering an offering with desecrate in the wand works just fine. But order of operations can help by triggering things in the proper order. This means having desecrate first in the wand (top gem slot) and then the offering next. It should work anyway but if its not proccing try the order thing I mentioned.

Weapon triggers only trigger 1 spell at a time. In fact, I think all triggers except CWDT function this way. You want to trigger Desecrate first then your Offering. I believe with weapons the CD initiates only after each skill has been activated. I also believe an Offering will still consume the trigger if no corpses are present but obviously not provide any buff. If you move out of range of your Desecrated corpses, then your Offering will not activate (you can Flame Dash, dropping desecrate at the original location; you can also simply run too far away since it takes a second skill to trigger the second spell).
- You use a skill → Spell 1 triggers
- You use a skill → Spell 2 triggers
- You use a skill → Spell 3 triggers
- All triggered spells go on a 4 or 8 second CD.

I have used it myself and order of operations with things like cwdt is easily searchable.
