Kill all enemies in zone quests should be slighly different
|
I recently finished the kill all enemies in the fetid pool quest which was fun. I think these types of quests would work well as a type of dynamically generated quest that a player can randomly get. With a mini boss spawned that's required to be killed along with the other enemies. These types of quests will also give more incentive to visit a variety of already completed zones.
In terms of the requirements to complete this type of quest, an important thing I would change is instead of killing 100% of the enemies in the zone it should be slightly less. It can be frustrating retracing the whole zone again for a couple of underling enemies. I think requiring something like 95% enemies killed along with any boss/ non white mobs will work well. what do you guys think? Sorry if this has already be suggested. thank you. a Threshold would be nicer it isn't any fun chasing around 1 monster.
I remember having to resweep den of evil many times, but its thorough at least. So I have no complaints of being put to work. If GGG made everything trivial, easy, there wouldn't be a game left just Diablo 3. | |

We could do it easier and more practical than that. Once there are only five or so enemies left, we could get a small arrow on the minimap pointing toward them. Easy peasy.

i like quest that would encourage exploration..but i really really dislike kill all enemys in zone quest. Theres always that one mob thats in some far off reach of the map by himself that you spend what feels like hours looking for.

Hell, I clear-kill every area as a matter of course. The quest reward was just a bonus. =^[.]^=

" I've been thinking about this since you said it, and I've come to a conclusion. Running around in circles looking for a mud-brown zombie who is standing in a big patch of mud-brown mud isn't challenging, or at least the fun kind of challenging. It's just tedious and obnoxious. I'm all for poe having non-trivial, non-easy stuff! But I don't think that walking in circles while squinting really counts. It also probably screws with people that have vision issues to some extent. |
