Imagine trying to craft your own stuff just because shit overpriced on standard I'm talking
like 300 ex for a minion damage life and attribute unset ring and that's my only missing piece item I need for my build . No wonder standard is so dead , deterministic too easy for [Removed by Support] expect everyone to meta speed farm make currency , set up livesearch ... "Need" is a strong word, and if you're only missing ONE item to perfect your build, it should require some time/effort.
But yes, prices on standard sucks, and the game is a massive timesink. While trading and other stuff could (and arguably should) be improved, I think the fact that PoE is a massive time sink is one of the things that made/make it popular, and that separates it from other games in the genre. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

Standard is akin to a retirement home where you just enjoy life and do whatever you want with all the wealth you have accumulated over your PoE history. Just because you can't buy/sell something doesn't mean it is dead.

Standard prices get a lot more reasonable during the short time every 3 months when the league is gone, because people are online in standard cleaning out their tabs or messing with build ideas.
Other than that, you couldnt pay me to try and trade in standard unless it is multi-exalt items |

Standard was super lively during 3.13 though, it was a fun time to play.
Remove Horticrafting station storage limit.

OP, you don't even Standard.
As a 100% Standard player, I can say that Standard is, and always will be, pumping. Yes, Standard prices are more expensive, but at the same time, you can SELL things for more currency. Eg, a Maven's Orb in league is 4.5ex. A Maven's orb in Standard is 10ex. This is a consistent drop, so you make more money in Standard. |
