Scourge maps are insane reward I agree BUT its far better to run simulacrums, blight or heists as the poster above me said it. League itself is shit as monsters on scourge are too rippy and visuals clutter is worst then sirus/conqueror/juiced deli maps for the rewards they give.
For me scourge can be deleted from the game and with it they can delete like 80% of another mechs/monsters/visuals effects like they did with atlas .MORE IS NOT BETTER. |

" Is there something wrong with that? People demand that league mechanics are the best source of currency, the best source of XP, the best source of progression and the best source of challenges. I wonder why that is? It's almost like enjoying the rest of the game is a sin, and should be impossible, because the league mechanics should be the "be all, end all". Always critique the league mechanics. But to use good, old and established game mechanics that have been revamped, rebalanced and altered seven times as a benchmark for fresh league mechanics, seems a little bit unfair. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

" No I don't think its wrong per say. Having lots of choices is always good anyway. Still I would rather have it a more balanced normal nightmare with better drops and less spell damage and nerf a lil bit scourged maps as they are too rewarding and too rng (some mods are a bad joke aka -100% move speed lol). And I hate timers that only force u to go fast. Timer only works on blight the rest is just to make u go fast and make mistakes aka cheap dificulty. Annoying and we have lots of this shit already. |

" Scourge works with beyond. Its insane currency wise it juices nemesis farming to the max. Its def. more currency/hour than simulacrums, heists or logbooks. |

" I hate timers too, but mostly I hate "all or nothing" timers. In Scourge, you can get pretty nice rewards even if you don't go zoomzoom, as you can controll your ins and outs (other than in some maps). But I do agree; it should be more than possible to design good league mechanics without timers. As for the damage, it's designed to force you to know your (and your character's) limits. If you push too far, it WILL get rippy - for everyone. I have to admit that I haven't been running any characters this league without 100% spell suppression, so it might be a little bit unbalanced when it comes to spell damage. But a character without suppression, can get "close" to the same mitigation by stacking maximum resistances, which is pretty easy these days. But I think most well-rounded characters should be able to handle 100-150 stacks. Very good characters can of course handle way more than that. But I'm not surprised that they decided to make a league mechanic that really tests our defenses, in a patch where defenses got changed a lot. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile. " Agreed. THe problem seems to be they added spell supression and thought everyone would be using it. I did tested a char with 100% supresion and its LOL another game. I can see why people don't complain when they use the "meta" as its clearly design to have spell supression this league. Spell block do help though but still far far inferior. I think the timer on scourge maps are perfect as u can play as u said it and push till u cannot handle it anymore. Timer on normal maps though are too short and u are forced to 1 zoom trought or 2 quick switch in and out. I don't like it, I rather have a second permanent map that u can clear at ur own pace and ofcorse the more stacks u have the harder it will be and this being the only limiting factor Another thing that suck is the reward on scourge maps are the same being tier 1 or 16... There is almost no reason at all to run a tier 16 scourged map. Its hard as hell and the rewards don't increase as the number of nightmare rare mobs are the same. " Scourge timers are fine on normal maps, its only a issue if you play low density alch an go maps. If you use map device beyond, sextants and scarabs (which you should be cause it means more profit) than sourge timers are not a issue at all because your scourge meter fills up almost instantly because their are so many monsters in the map. |

" This is what I hate the most. Yes I know juicing maps is the key. But no, I don't like it and I can't do more than 1 or 2 per day as it gives me headaches. Ah and I already lost 2 instance crashed cause I pressed the fucking alt. I gave up juicing cause of this, the visual madness is insane + risk of instance crash + its a pain to roll stuff sometimes as u need to block sextants yala yala too much crap before doing the actual map. $ per hour doing simulacrums or even bligh 16 is far better and easier. Nem3 stuff is the meta sure, but hell no I hate this ultra juiced stuff that wants to kill ur pc. |

" The game is balanced around sextants, scarabs, map device mods ect. I mean why else would GGG put it in the game. If someone refuses to use them its not the games fault if they do not get a lot of drops. Its super easy to start. A lot of people are just scared they lose their investment if they use stuff to juice their maps. |

[/quote] And those that don't like this gameplay can suck ass and be happy with poor droprates (adjusted as u said to juicing) and broken mechanics. THe other poster said something very true. Pick someone from outside and see what they think about poe gameplay... Flashy explosions everywhere and lots of thirdparty windows openned. Its a mess. I like to see stuff not exploding screens and collecting loot. I get it that some rmters need the extra income so the only thing they care is ex per hour but for other normal players this is dumb as hell. Sextants and scarabs are fine to use, problem is when u stack everything (the point of juicing) and basically break the game. The last map I did with 2 friends there was so many loot then I tried to enable all loot (removing filter and toggle option) just to take a pic and the instance crashed. And as I said before I have lost 2 maps already by mistakenly pressing alt. Do u think this is good design? People like the rewards ofcorse but the design around it u rly think is good? |
