Keystone: Ancestral Bond Question

Ancestral bond says +1 to totems but you can't deal damage. Would cyclone and cast while channel work? It's not dealing damage with skill myself, its casting another spell while channeling.

you still can cast spells or use attacks, and hit enemies. You just wont deal any damage
