A question about item affixes (in standard)

I just found a problem when using previous game characters.
I was have a wand with T1 suffix "damage over time multiplier", but i found that now it has become T3 level. I refer to the official list of affixes, found that this affix has new T1 and T2 level values. I want to know why the existing item is not upgraded according to the data changes? I see a lot of item data in the game have been improved, these values can be upgraded to the nearest value range using the Divine Orb, but the change of this affix forces our item affix to be reduced from T1 level to T3 level. Is this the right way to deal with it? Our item is made with a lot of time and orb. Is that how GGG treats the game results of players!? Last bumped on Nov 23, 2021, 1:17:35 AM

your item did not lose value, there are new higher tiers added.
