Animate Guardian - Partial animation/missing gear

When I summoned my animate guardian, I created him using a full complement of gear. Including a Mask of the Stitched Demon helm, and rare armor (among other items).

I have summoned him and re-summoned him (by removing the gem and replacing it) - but his helm and body armor graphics do not display. As if they were unfilled or used.

I *think* the gear is there because he has not died, even in t16 maps. But I can't be sure.

If AG dies all the gear is gone, not just some gear pieces.
And you cant summon him if he doesnt have any gear.

So he didnt die according to your description, still doesnt explain why parts of the gear arent visible

Just to be clear, I *know* it didn't die because I also built him using the axe with fortify and culling strike and I'm still getting the buff. I didn't summon him until I had basically end game gear. So he should have all of it or none of it.

That's why I kind of think/hope its a graphical thing. Because he isn't dying and the items that aren't showing were his defensive items.

Oh wait you are talking about buff icons at the top?

Those wont show up, if those items arent affecting you but exclusively the AG.
As long as its equipped visually, like AG is actually wearing a hat/helmet its working just fine.

No, I know. This is what makes this hard. Neither of the items that are graphically missing give me a buff I could use to verify.

I can see some of the items I used to make the guardian, but not all of them. So either somehow some items were eaten by the cast guardian spell and disappeared, and thats why i cant see them on his doll or they are there, and he is benefiting from them, but theres a graphical issue and they are invisible.

I assume that the chest armor had chaos resist on it that put you AG at or above 50% chaos resist at witch point he died from converting all of his hp to energy shield and then the next item you gave him summoned a new one.

Thanks, that is the most credible answer yet. I probably did grab a chest with chaos res. And I have 20% from tree/jewels. Its possible.

I'm now a little sick that I threw away over an ex worth of gear though. ugh

Yeh at that point you would have only needed +10% chaos res as AG has 20% base chaos res.

Giving you AG Oskarms to reduce its chaos resistance is a way to work around this.
