How to dowgrade item?

you can go down from rare to magic, theres prefixes cannot be changed + scour type crafts where you have an item with 1 prefix, but you need to craft multimod, put a bench prefix like mana on and then prefixes cannot be changed, then scour to end up with a rare item that has 2 prefixes, one a benched mana. then you can remove the bench mod. if you just did prefixes cannot be changed and scoured it into an item that was just 1 prefix then it would downgrade to a magic item.

thats definitely a thing (99% sure), at least it used to be. ive not done crafting like that in a long time so i couldnt tell you exactly how it works, ppl would have to go research these things to see.

if you were to annul it then it wouldnt downgrade, if memory serves. you can annul down to a 1 prefix 1 suffix item, or even a 1 stat item and have it remain rare. but with the 'cannot be changed' + scour method there was ways it could turn magic.
I will try this thank you.

How to make magic item from rare without loosing affix? Of curse I want to keep only one mod from rare ring and I need to downgrade to magic ring. Is it possible?

Link the ring, and maybe we can help you.

The answer (and cheapest solution) will probably be: Start over, and spam alteration orbs on another ring (unless we're talking about a legacy mod).
You cannot get this mod that way. Only obtainable with delve fossil if I'm correct. I don't have the ring yet. before I spend ex on crafting I need to know if it's even possible. :-)

what mod, exactly, do you want on a ring? minions deal increased damage?

this mod can be found as a prefix on Redeemer influenced rings:
Redeemer's ilvl68 Minions deal (15–17)% increased Damage
Redeemer's ilvl75 Minions deal (18–21)% increased Damage
Redeemer's ilvl80 Minions deal (22–25)% increased Damage

in addition to a suffix on delve rings:
Minions deal (25–35)% increased Damage

if you take the redeemer version, you can craft a resist. if you want life, you need to find the delve version.

check it out on craft of exiles emulator, it works there i believe the way it works in game.

if you make a 2 mod magic item, regal it, say you then have 1 prefix + 2 suffix, if you do prefixes cannot be changed then scour you end up with a 1 prefix magic item.

the reason i know is from making multimod wands in the past before +1 spell gems was added, you would want the 38% chaos dot multi then you could just multimod everything else you needed on there. but to isolate dot multi ud need it to be the only prefix, and to get it down to a rare item with just that one stat safely without risking annulling it you couldnt do prefixes cannot change then scour cause it downgraded to magic, it needed to stay rare to multimod. so youd have to multimod, add a prefix from the bench and then prefixes cant be changed, then when you scour it stays rare because a magic item cant have 2 prefixes.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

Redeemer. Would be perfect. didn't know about this option. Problem is I need suffix.
