Vulkan Crashing

So this morning I was using Vulkan completely fine. I was in a rush this morning, so I Alt-F4 closed the game. Came back later today to being unable to even get to login menu. Freaked out. Reddit user directed me to config folder. I tried letting poe make new config, game launched. I tried changing old config from Vulkan to DirectX11, it worked.

I have NO explanation for what happened but I did narrow it down, which is vexing because for one, I believe I felt a performance boost while using Vulkan, and two, the crashing bug came about so unexpectedly that, had I not been assisted by a good reddit user whom noticed I posted my question in the wrong heading, I'd still be freaking out over PoE not starting. Did an update get pushed through this morning that bugged out Vulkan?

Same here my Vulkan just stopped working overnight. Didn't even reboot PC.

Appeared as though the game was crashing on startup until I nuked the config file and figured out what was the cause.

Same issue for me.. had to change the driver in config.
If I switch I want to switch to Vulcan the game instantly crashes when clicking on the name

Vulkan has been having issues lately, it's IS still in beta though.

With Vulkan (*IF* you can get it to start), try setting the graphics to medium. This can fix that crashing issue for some.

Same issues happening with me. Everything was fine yesterday but the game would not start up today. I deleted the PoE folder in my Documents and that let me start up the game again. The only issue is that I cannot select Vulkan anymore without it crashing my game.

So I don't know if this made it worked or helped it work. But I set graphics to medium without saving, turned on Vulcan, and after a wee bit of time it successfully swapped over. Then I could also upgrade to high graphics. Can once again run Vulcan.

Again no idea if its the WAY I did it or if the issue was simply addressed someway somehow. (tho I did delete my caches a few days ago so that may be it in part).

It let me launch poe after swapping too so it wasn't a one off fix either. Hopefully these kinds of issues can get nip'd because Vulcan for me is big performance boost.

I haven't had any issues myself with Vulkan, so can't really test these types of things. Hopefully others can get it to work following your steps as well.

Same issues and sadly, turning graphics to medium did not work. Tried everything in the book including deleting caches. Only solution for now really is using DX11 which has really worse performance.

Hopefully it works again in a near future.
