Poacher's mark on hit from ring not applying

Hi,

I am using a Lvl 12 Poacher's mark on hit ring and it is not applying the mark. My main set up is low life, strength stacking, pillar of the caged god, double strike, champion. I am not using any other curses. When testing on uniques/rares no mark is applied (both default/double strike attack) and no frenzy charges are generated on kill either.

Please help, the ring ring was very expensive for me :(
