to be fair i donwloaded some scatchy things (nothing 2 do with poe tho)

to be fair i do have some anger manegment issues

but to also be fair when a russian hacker takes over your complete online identety while your asleep/at work shit gose south fast when that guy has 16 hours that your not behind a pc and im not great with pc´s ether...

i apologize to the poor GGG staff that had 2 go and clean this thread up becose of me posting shit

(partially did that allready after the hack but i guess geting a vpn cant hurt)

also calling poe f2p is kinda true since im playing it f2p right now,

ggg got burned in the past by giving a account back to the wrong guy and are just extra careful when doing so now.
and it's also a fact that some people sell their accounts.

but it's a bit scary to think of all the money and investment hanging on a email account i don't even pay for. i wish they had some more security in case people lose their email.

regarding support: never ever got disappointed when talking/writing to them in the last 10 years. and i asked and talked alot. probably depends on how you approach them.

if he got everything to prove that he is the account owner, then ggg should give him his account back. I mean screenshots for example before account got stolen, maybe bank transfer, old names of guild members which can also confirm his identity, old deleted characters. Even if he sold his account and now trying to get it back, he should get it back, since buying accounts is against tos and the buyer knows that aswell. I mean several hundrets of dollars are in this account. Should he file a lawsuit or ask the bank to get his money back before gg reacts?

I mean they got his whole IP history and suddenly someone logs in from another ip from a different country or some shit? cmon. Thats just lazy from ggg and a poor excuse.

yea im an asshole and some times it bites me i guess, not like i dont work on myself tho ^^

never shared/sold my account unless you consider leting a friend try out poe on my pc/account while im in the room account sharing then i would be guilty lamao

got some ppl that i used to play with and even do so now, but we never came to that befor i got the message that they cannot verify i am me and the account will stay permanently banned.

The reason I said his email must be compromised is because you can't log in from a different place without a verification code. It's a real pain in the ass when I'm travelling and have to verify my code every time I connect to the hotel wifi, but I get it and am happy for it just because of what OP claims to have happened.

I don't play through Steam though, so if the steam client bypasses any of that, I wouldn't know.

You don't have to log in when you use the steam client. So yes, it bypasses that.
