New Ascendency Suggestions

One of the things that differentiates Path of Exile from other online games, are the Ascendancies. Unfortunately, they feel very focused, to the point of "if you aren't playing one to the max, then you may as well not bother."

So, I wanted to propose NEW Ascendency classes. One for each class, based on a theme of some kind that didn't pigeon hole the player into a particular playstyle (but allowed some freedom).

So, here are my suggestions for new Ascendancies....

The Fantasy Tamer (Witch)


The Fantasy Tamer uses the abilities of fantasy creatures to enhance the Witch's spells and abilities.

Pegasus: 15% of Damage is taken from Mana, 10% Chance to Suppress Spell Damage, .3% of Spell Damage is Leeched as Mana
Griffon: Gain a Power Charge every 5 seconds when you are on Low Energy Shield. +5% Chance to Suppress Spell Damage per Power Charge
Phoenix: Gain 10% of nonFire Elemental damage as Extra Fire Damage, One every 10 seconds when on Low Life drink a Life Potion without expending any charges

Leprechaun: Damage from Enemies is Unlucky while you are on Low Energy Shield, Recover 2% Energy Shield on Kill
Faerie: Gain 25% of Spell Damage as Extra Damage of a Random Element, Exposure applies -20% to Elemental Resistance added

Gorgon: Temporal Chains is supported by Blasphemy. Temporal Chains has 30% increased area of effect. Temporal Chains has 25% Increased Mana Reservation.

Werewolf: When underground, you have hexproof. When not underground, you may apply an additional Curse

Dragon: +65% Elemental Damage to spells when the spell deals Fire, Cold, and Lightning damage.




The Creeper (Shadow)


The Creeper uses the strengths of a different bugs.

Spider: +30% to Damage over Time Multiplier for Ailments from Critical Strikes, +20% increased global accuracy rating, +30% damage against Uniques
Tick: Recover 2% life on kill, +15% Damage over Time multiplier, 10% chance to Suppress Spell Damage, +18% increased Evasion rating
Mite: Recover 2% Energy Shield on kill, 30% increased Physical Damage, 10% chance to Suppress Spell Damage, 40% increased Critical Strike chance
Beetle: Poisons you inflict deal 20% faster, +8% increased movement speed, +12% Critical Strike Multiplier
Centipede: Damage over Time you inflict deal Damage 20% faster, Movement skills cost 50% less mana, 20% increased Critical Strike chance with one handed melee weapons

Ant: 30% of Physical Damage is converted to Fire, +20% increased Physical Damage with one handed melee weapons, 18% increased Evasion rating
Wasp: +20% Chance to gain a Frenzy charge on Critical Strike, +4% increased Physical damage per Frenzy charge, +1 maximum Frenzy Charges
Scorpion: Gain 1 chaos damage to Attacks per 5 Dexterity.




The Natura Warden (Ranger)


The Nature Warden uses the power of natural animals to strengthen himself.

Wolf: Grants level 20 “Call the pack”. 6% increased attack speed, 4% increased physical damage with claws
Call the pack: Applies a buff to you and your allies. You and your allies gain increased attack speed depending on how many allies are affected.
Cost: 40 mana
Use Time: .5 seconds
Cooldown Time: 12 seconds
Base Duration: 4 seconds
Buff grants you +2% increase attack speed per nearby ally (20 units)
Buff grants each nearby ally (20 units) +4% increased attack speed
Lion: Grants level 20 “King of the Pridelands”, +1% increased strength, +1% increased dexterity
King of the Pridelands: Grants you a buff, crippling nearby enemies
Reservation: 10% mana and 10% life
Cast time: Instant
Cooldown Time: 1.00 sec
Nearby enemies (28 units) are intimidated with a 100% increased effect.
20% increased effect of buffs on you
Every 8 seconds, gain a +25% bonus to movement speed for 2 seconds.
Master of the plains: +10% increased movement speed, overwhelm 2% physical damage reduction per ally nearby (60 units), +30 dexterity, If you are effected by both Call the pack and King of the Pridelands, double the buffs from Call the Pack and King of the Pridelands.
Polar Bear: You are effected by a permanent Lesser Massive Shrine. (+10% increased character size, 20% increased area of effect, +20% increased maximum life)
Master of the Tundra: You cannot be Frozen, +5 maximum Cold Resistance, +50% Cold Resistance, Your movement speed cannot be reduced below your base movement

Monkey: +10% chance to gain a Frenzy, Power, or Endurance charge on kill, +35% increased rarity of items dropped by Enemies, +15 chance of rare items dropped by enemies to have a Shaper, Enchantment, Crusader, Hunter, or Elder mod

Deer: +5% increased physical damage, +20% increased physical damage taken, +20% increased Critical Strike Chance, Adds 10-20 physical damage to critical strikes

Eagle: Grants level 20 Eye of the Eagle spell
Eye of the Eagle
Reserves: 15% mana
Cast Time: Instant
Cooldown Time: 1 second
Gain +250% increased damage when you score a critical strike




The Ornithologist (Duelist)


The Ornithologist borrows from different birds.

Blue Jay: Abyssal Socket
Magpie: 2 Basic Jewel Sockets
Raven: All threshold jewels are considered to have 40 strength, 40 intelligence, and 40 dexterity allocated within its threshold radius.

Goose: When you Warcry, you and nearby allies gain a Frenzy charge; +30% Warcry speed; Your Warcries exert 1 attack for each of your nearby allies
Falcon: Every 3 seconds your attacks are repeated additional one time

Hawk: +20% Increased Damage while using Edged weapons (claws, swords, axes, and daggers). +20% Chance to gain Fortify on Melee Kill, +10% Chance to Dodge Attack Hits

Ostrich: Ignore all movement penalties from armour, +10% increased movement speed, Your movement speed cannot be reduced, 100% increased cooldown recovery rate for movement skills

Woodpecker: Gain +1% increased attack speed and attack damage per Allocated notable passive skill



The Excavator (Maurader)


The Excavator harnesses the power of dinosaurs.


Velociraptor: Bleeding you inflict deals damage 20% faster, 20% chance to Impale enemies with Attacks, 10% increased Impale effect
T-Rex: Crush enemies on hit with Attacks, 5% Reduced physical damage taken, +25% chance to Blind enemies on hit with Attacks, +15% increased Blind effect
Giganotosaurus: Choose 1:
You are effected by a Lesser Brutal Shrine
You are effected by a Lesser Impenetrable Shrine
You are effected by a Lesser Massive Shrine

Triceratops: +5% chance to block Attack damage while holding a shield, +30% chance to gain an Endurance Charge when you Block an Attack, 40% increased Stun duration with Two Handed Melee Weapons on Enemies, Regenerate 1% of Life per second
Stegosaurus: 30% increased Attack damage while holding a Shield, 75% increased Defenses from Equipped shield, +200 to armour, Reflect 100 physical damage to Attackers

Ankylosaurs: 5% increased Strength, 30% increased armour, +20% increased Physical Attack damage
Pinacosaurus: Active skill gems socketed in body armour are supported by Level 20 Fortify

Pterodactyl: Attacks overwhelm 20% physical damage reduction, Every 10 seconds gain the Punisher buff



The Haunted (Inquisitor)


Takes on both the positive and the negatives of the undead.

Ghost: Light Radius is based on Energy Shield instead of Life, 15% increased maximum Energy Shield, 1% of Spell Damage is Leeched as Energy Shield
Banshee: +20% chance to gain Phasing when casting a spell, +30% chance to cause monsters to flee on spell hit, you have an Unnerve aura (20 units)

Mummy: Gain Maddening Presence as an aura (20 units)
Vampire: 10% Reduced physical damage taken, Attacks have +40% chance to cause Bleeding, 2% physical damage leeched as life against Bleeding enemies.
Lich: 5% increased Intelligence, 5% increased Strength, 50% chance to avoid being Frozen, 50% chance to avoid being Shocked, Double your life regeneration

Zombie: Regenerate 2% life each second, +10% Chaos Resistance, Corrupted Blood and Bleeding cannot be inflicted upon you, +10% increased armour
Ghast: You have a Debilitate aura (20 units), +3 melee strike range, +15% chance to Freeze, Shock, and Ignite, +20% increased melee damage against foes who are Frozen, Shocked, or Ignited.

Skeleton: Increased and reductions to Energy Shield are transformed to apply to armour at 200% of their value.
