Customizable UI in the future?

I know that there are a lot of things that are on tap before the game is "officially" live, but I was wondering if we might see some customization to the UI in the future?

Personally, I'm not looking for a lot. I would just like to be able to move portions of the UI. Specifically the BUffs/Debuffs/Minions pane, and the Quest / Passive POints.

I would like the ability to swap the locations of them, and further differentiate what would be my characters minions from their buffs, from the debuffs on them.

As a former WoW player, I like to have all of the important type stuff in my field of vision. The Health and Mana balls are big enough that they are good where they are, but having to look away from the normal field of vision to see a minion count, or debuffs is slightly distracting. Being able to move those items to sit above the XP bar, and moving the passive point notification and quest notification to the top left would make me a happy person.
think devs stated a while ago that the UI was not developed with customization in mind, elements are not able to be moved, and changing it so customization could happen would involve too much work.

i hope we can at least resize the chatbox in the future though
Things with "increased" and "decreased" in the tooltip are additive ... where as "More" or "Less" are multiplicative ...
I dont think customized uis should be part of arpg, having ui like this;

would ruin the milieu of basic arpgs

Oh, I'm not looking to re-create my old WOW Tank UI, I just really don't like the positioning of the buffs/debuffs vs the Passive Point / Quest thing.
Wade pretty much got it.
I personally think selling different HUD skins/colour schemes, could be possible.
If you don't like the positioning, suggest it in the feed back forums.

With a regard to UI mods, we greatly prefer maintaining a game where the UI is consistent. Now I understand the players would love to move everything around, but there is an advantage of having it in a consistent way between players. It's partly that... It means players can't span their UI to get an advantage of all these countdowns and stuff that the other player's can't see. And also, ARPG historically don't have Dynamic UI's I mean Diablo I, II, III, they don't have UI Add-ons.... It's Mostly MMORPG like World of Warcraft that do and we are not that kind of game.

(Skip to 27:05 for the UI answer.)

Anyone who thinks “the customer is always right” never worked in tech support.
+1 for customizable UI

I want to make something playable... like my WoW UI:

Hmm, I'd like to be able to:

* Change Chat Opacity
* Change Chat Size
* Choose Chat Message Format (Timestamp, etc)
* Change Minion/Charge/Aura Location independently

Can't think of anything else though. I think the devs said they were looking to improve Charge location or something.
Brutus. Do you even sync?
LOL Karrakurri, my wow UI got to be like that on a few occasions during raid time! That being said it would be wonderful to be able to do things like resize the fonts of chat, and move the chat box around. One good wow ui mod i absolutely loved was the whisper IM thing that would organize whispers. Especially useful if you are popular in game, trading, etc... Enabling more customization for ui elements is just good end-user usability focus, and could allow players to minimize interruption to their hack and slashing.
+1 to this.

All you naysayers are idiots. Have you failed to consider different people have different setups?

I've got an eyefinity setup, and find it nearly unusable since my life gets thrown all the way left and the mana to the right. And forget about reading party chat. As such, I turned it off. Stuck playing on one screen blows when your used to 3. This was at 5760X1080 (landscape) but it's hardly any better in portrait either.

There's a dozen reasons to do this, and very few reasons not to. They say they designed the GUI now without this in mind? Well ok, that was dumb, but it's still fixable. Pop open a donation box for this and let us fund it. Hire another dev on a contract basis and make it happen. I'll donate for it.

I certainly don't need any more stash tabs xD
