Hi! I have a question about elemental exposure
If I have Mastermind of Discord, which is an ascendancy passive from Elementalist:<Exposure you inflict applies an extra -25% to the affected Resistance>.
I also have Elemental Mastery: <Exposure you inflict applies at least -18% to the affected resistance>. So now, if I cast Wave of Conviction, is it -43% elemental resistance to enemy? Because Mastery changes -15% from Wave of Conviction to -18%, plus extra -25%, so it's -43%. Is it correct? And if I cast Scorching Ray, now is -50% fire resistance to enemy? Because Mastery do nothing to values lower than -18%, so it's -25% plus -25%? Thanks! Last edited by jcyxxx#0879 on Nov 8, 2021, 8:25:54 PM Last bumped on Mar 7, 2022, 3:38:49 AM

Yes, both of your reasonings are good.
Mastery will make sure you will always give an exposure of at least -18%, which will then be increased by a further 25% by discord. So, you will always apply exposures for at least 43% |

You can't have exposure from both wave of conviction and scorching ray at the same time.

" This appears to be very ambiguous. The behavior you described is how Shaper of Storms have been confirmed to work (unless recently changed). For example, the "15%" becomes your new base shock from which all other increases/mores are calculated based on. However, for this 18% Mastery + Mastermind of Discord, Path of Building calculation ignores the 18% (since 10% + 25% = 35% > 18%), and all other discussion on this (mostly on Reddit) also agree that the result is 35%, not 43%. So almost identical wording, according to other random players/PoB, behaves in opposite ways, and there's no clear confirmation yet for Exposure. Would be great if a developer could confirm this either way. Last edited by Firedrops#3670 on Mar 6, 2022, 11:47:37 PM
