Why use Heavy Strike, over BS?
I'm new to stun builds. I just started using BS. I have empty sockets to use both, even if that's not advised usually.
Eitherway I was wondering how the uses of Heavy Strike differ from Boneshatter. Seems google doesn't say, forums don't, neither global knows. Pretty much because, nobody really uses Heavy Strike much. Eitherway. Just looking for other active skills to use with BS. Is HS better for 1vs1 & BS better for aoe, is that it? or? Kudos. I just wanted a 1vs1 stun build, so far BS seems more leaning toward AOE stun. Tho atleast it's not as AOE as ground slam is, just had a GS char, didn't want to do melee aoe again. (Which was another reason I was wondering about Heavy Strike for 1vs1, compares to Boneshatter). 100 people towns with hang out fields. Witcher taverns. Free hair style options. BS is better in most ways.
HS deals a higher percent of weapon damage, up to 313% of base damage. It also has reduced enemy stun threshold, and a 20% chance to deal double. However BS naturally deals AOE, it has significant added phys damage, it gains trauma stacks. So for pure single target, with a high end weapon, HS might lead at first. Then as BS gains trauma stacks, it will gain the advantage, while naturally dealing AoE. You would NOT want to use BS without significant physical mitigation, however, so in that case HS would be better. Low armor with no endurance charges, maybe use HS. You would have to use a support gem for melee splash or ancestral reach though, so it doesnt feel worth it. Last edited by trixxar#2360 on Nov 7, 2021, 1:20:28 AM
