[UI] Poison / Corrupted Blood should be MORE VISIBLE
I do not believe a tiny icon at the side of the UI is sufficiently noticeable for something that ends your run if you don't heal through it actively.
The worst happens when your immunity potion runs out, and you die to the poison not realizing you still have it on. This is like having no pain receptors: you damage yourself unknowingly. Solution Proposal: In GuildWars1 when you were poisoned or bleeding, the entire health bar turned a different color (Swamp Green or Cream-Red, respectively). In PoE this can fit within the presentation style and can extend to the health bars. Any poison/condition/effect that is DEADLY to the player, that has enough Duration + Damage to end at 0 life, should be particularly highlighted. Warnings should be going off (Do something, this is Urgent!) Extra frames around the health bar if turned on, or extra toxic pulsing color on the health orb would solve much of the problem Note: I am not married to a specific solution, as long as it fulfills three criteria: (1) Being possible to turn off in the Options (2) Being sufficiently visible to convey the sense of urgency and emergency (3) Not obstructing the screen that is already burdened with effects. I hope this gets the proper support and notice. Last edited by Tenet#5765 on Nov 3, 2021, 2:41:10 PM Last bumped on Nov 5, 2021, 3:33:36 AM

Interesting idea. In Diablo 2 your entire life-pool turns green when you're poisoned, and given Chris' decision-making being heavily influenced by D2, I think it could potentially be a solution.
However, I think applying color change to health bar is a slippery slope. If your health-bar turns green when poisoned, purple when affected by corrupted blood, what happens if you're poisoned AND affected by corrupted blood? What about being shocked, ignited or frozen? How do you change the color of ES? Due to the complexity of PoE, it's much harder to have a 'just color the healthbar' approach like in D2. Personally I think important effects like poison, corrupted blood and other important effects are invisible due to visual clutter (from MTXs, delirium etc.) which demands a much more comprehensive visual reform, which is wishing too much. Perhaps making debuff icons more visible than another icon among your 500 buffs in the upper left-hand corner is a more realistic solution. |

" It doesn't need to be a colour change on its own, that alone would be very bad for colour blind players. They can have: Corrupting Blood: Dark Swirls over the health globe Poison: green bubble effect over the health globe Shock: electrical arcing over the health globe Ignite: burning flames over the health globe Frozen: Snow flakes and blue crystallization of the health globe. Just need it to be distinctive from Energy Shield. As for combining them uh... Make a super complicated layered approach to the designs so they look good layered over each other >.>" or create a unique appearance for every combination (a big ask).
