Feedback on trade from a player of 4 years

I've been playing this game on and off for a little more than 4 years now and I think it's time to give my feedback.

Overall, I think the game is a lot more playable than it was back in 2.6. All the little changes (Stacked currency as the latest example) overtime have made the game much more enjoyable and I thrust that GGG is always working on the next feature to make the game even better.

On that note, I'd like to talk about trade.

I very much respect GGG's stance on trading. Making trade faster has deep implication on item progression and item value. There should be a cost to trading and I think that time is the right price.

That being said, I think the current iteration of trade is fine... so long as you're using 3rd party programs.

From simple price macros to the more complex trade companions, 3rd party programs have been around since before I've been playing and they have only grown in quality and quantity since then. Playing with or without a macro is a night and day difference. Theses tools don't necessarily make trade faster, but it definitely makes it easier and more convenient.

Like poe.trade before the official trade site, these tools have been around for the longer half of a decade. I remember the first Path of Exile tutorial on trade I watched when I started playing was from ZiggyD telling me to download the Poe trade macro. That was almost 5 years ago.

When pathofexile.com/trade was released, it wasn't a new revolutionary way to trade - It was pretty much exactly what we already had, but from the official source instead of a 3rd party one. It didn't make trade any faster, just more convenient.

What I'd like to see implemented in the future is the same process but for the most popular 3rd party tools out there (Awakened Trade, PoE Lurker, Mercury Trade, etc.). I think implementing already existing features from these tools into the core game would make it fairer for newer players and less annoying for older ones without making trade any different for those that have been using them for years.

Thank you for reading this feedback and Thank you GGG for making such an awesome game!

Also an auction house systems please, current trade experiences are definitely not fun and frustrating. Now it's just first week of the league, but I get constantly ignored by sellers most of the time after sending WTB pms.

Imo, as a league starter with limited currency after Act 10, want to buy all the rare items to cap resistances is the most painful shiet. Spamming hours for dead silence...

poe.trade excluded the majority of players cause it just supported the english language.

those tools which check market prices don't consider fake sellers.
and the solution is not to remove fake sellers or somehow make those scripts working but to obfuscate market prices so nobody uses those tools.

that's just my opinion, cause the freedom to sell an item or not is essential to a game which makes it difficult to estimate how much an item is worth
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
