New meta craft locations sucks for SSF
I'm about to ding 98 tomorrow and I still dont have multi craft unlocked as the recipe is now locked behind rare unique map.

As much as I hate prophecies, gating them behind unique maps are even worse |

ssf has been a nice experiment but they should end it cause players don't see it as a additional challenge but want the same difficulty as normal players.
it's the same mistake they did with with pvp cause scaling the game accordingly is too much hassle. if you don't wanna trade you can still play group ssf in your "one man group". age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

" There is a difference having basic shit gated behind rng (like uber lab trials were thank god it got changed) and getting your 8 passive cluster jewels with perfect stats. I'm not asking for the latter, just wanting basic stuff accessible without unnecessary rng. Topkek

" that's my problem, the game gets more and more adjusted for ssf. which has major implications for the normal game, it's economy, services players offer and such. poe is a multiplayer game which encourages players to bring friends cause CHALLENGES ARE DIFFICULT TO SOLVE ALONE. it's challenges are designed to be solved in a group effort. trials were designed to be shared by players for a tip. solving this non issue has been a challenge of watching #820 for one hour max and just run some unfinished trials. now it's removed. you can't change a multiplayer game into a game that can be played by a single player the same way you can't turn a single player game into a multiplayer game (last epoch anyone, lol). age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

" I guess they just want a reasonable gameplay experience, but maybe GGG isn't the place to be looking for for "reasonable". Neither are some of its fans. EDIT: As for SSF vs. trade, they should just balance them differently, but apparently that is either impossible or not wanted. And trade has had the stronger influence on game balance since approximately forever, I see no reason for complaints there. Especially since most players play this game as a single player game with occasional trade or actual SSF anyways. Remove Horticrafting station storage limit. how is access to a crafting recipe related to 'difficulty"? It was more difficult to get it through the prophecy chains, now its just random dumb luck.
Even the 4 link recipe is gated behind a t8 map, which is just silly. I see no reason to gate the meta-crafting recipes at all, they're fairly expensive and by the time players can afford to use them, they should be able to. |

" Exactly what I mean. Why did GGG decide to get rid of silly rng stuff like uber trials, yet added other silly stuff that makes no sense to be gated behind rng. The unique maps gating was bad idea. I am not saying game needs to balanced around ssf, but this changes made zero difference for trade. So this was ssf balance and deprication of prophecy change.
