Embrace Corruption Challenge and Alva's Temple

The "Embrace Corruption" challenge this league is to corrupt items in various ways. One of the requirements is to corrupt a gem to level 21. Today I used the upgrade gem room in Alva's temple to upgrade a gem to level 21, but did not receive credit for that challenge. This seems like a pretty big oversight, as anyone corrupting a 20% gem is likely corrupting a level 20 gem as well, and a lot of players are going to work on temple corrupts.

Bump for justice. Can confirm this is not working for 23% quality gems either. We basically need to waste our 20% qual or level 20 gems for this challenge right now.

Bump to confirm that this failed for me, too, when I generated a 19/23 gem in the temple.

I can confirm that using a Vaal orb to hit gem level 21 works, I got this objective satisfied. But the Lapidary Lens upgrading a gem to 21 not counting for this challenge is a bug, as the challenge does not specify to use a Vaal orb, only to corrupt a gem, which the Lapidary Lens does.
