Hard crash from overheat
Hi,
I've been having an issue with my PC with it shutting down when playing POE. I thought it was a hardware problem, but I think its more POE causing the overheat then crash because any other game runs perfectly. My system is an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor, 3593 Mhz Nvidia Geforce RTX 3070 64 gigs ram My monitor is a Samsung 49" CHG90 QLED Gaming Monitor running at 120hz. I only add the monitor because I think it might be pulling too much power from my video card when playing. Does anybody know of a software configuration that will stop the hard crashes? Your monitor is not going to be responsible.
I would suggest using a program such as HWMonitor to confirm your temperatures theory. The temperatures of the motherboard, CPU, and graphics card are going to be the pertinent ones. Other temperatures & voltages, etc., can be collapsed to hide them from view. |

" well the reason from shutdown should be in the windows logs and if it is because of heat, then that is 100% a hardware issue that you need to fix. Could be problem with dust, fans not running properly or something with the cooling paste used... |

" I checked out my system crash log and every crash has the same issue, SOURCE: Kernel-Power. "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly." Does this sound like a power source issue? Edit: it looks my power source is 700w and im only drawing 525w. Could it be the fact my fan is just crap? Last edited by tesseract42#0686 on Oct 28, 2021, 3:00:48 PM
