Herald of Thunder Elemental Overload Bug

I've been running a herald of thunder storm secret build, and with 2 self-fulfilling prophecy cluster notables giving me 2% base crit along with an inspiration support gaining charges from a triggered Wave of Conviction setup. On my character sheet with the inspiration charges i have 2.8% crit chance. With my current storm secret rings I have a trigger rate of 7.72/second. I have never once seen the buff for elemental overload apply to HoT on my bar, I don't know if this is a visual issue or an issue with the game, but in theory on single target I should be able to maintain EO with this considering i hit 62 times per 8 seconds and the crit chance is roughly 1/35. I should mention that I do see EO's buff on my storm brand setup but never on HoT.

I did see in the "What We're Working On" post that there was mention of EO, but I'm not sure if this case is included in that because it didn't say anything about herald skills, just traps, mines, and cremation.

Yes, please GGG I have been testing the same thing for my build. I used a low level HoT and tried it on a boss for a few minutes and no elemental overload even with max crit from 4 medium cluster nodes for herald skills. Thats 1000++++ attacks and still no activation. This is almost 1/3 of our damage gone because of a bug.

If you are looking for the old icon on the upper bar it won't appear, EO is no longer a global buff, its a local modifier and should show on your skill icon.

If you don't get a damage buff, that's a different issue, make sure you get the damage increase once you crit.

Sadly this is not working after a lot of testing today. Know about the diamond symbol under your skill that indicates EO. The tooltip in the game does not change DPS or the diamond shape appears under the HoT. Sometimes if you start a map and then turn off and on the HoT the buff will appear under random ability that can't even crit (like arctic armour) at all (still no change in the tooltip).

I'm also encountering this issue with Herald of Thunder + Self-fulfilling Prophecy + Elemental Overload.

I have a hideout crit chance of 8.73% so it should be pretty reliable. I've gone entire maps without the diamond icon appearing under the skill on my skill bar. The moment I zone into a new area, I have to manually toggle Herald of Thunder off and then back on to get it to work again. Once I do that, I'm able to proc Elemental Overload almost all the time.

Hoping this gets fixed soon.

Elemental Overload currently isn’t reflected in tooltips at all. This will change in a future patch.

You say reflected, does it mean that we get the dmg right now without tooltip showing it? Or tooltip not showing it and EO give no extra dmg?

My main question is, is my build going to do more dmg after this is fixed?

Currently, tooltips are inaccurate in all cases where Elemental Overload is in effect.

But the dmg from EO is still working? Tooltip is just a number, I'm more concerned about if I have my EO buff (more dmg) right now in game or nothing is working.

Bump，the Herald of Thunder EO is hardly poc even with high amount of crit and it feeds something off compare to other skill
