An option to pre-generate shader cache
Is it possible to have this option for less powerful PC?
It is lagging so bad when it generate cache on the go. Thanks. Last edited by JackalR#4228 on Oct 23, 2021, 11:03:16 PM Last bumped on Oct 25, 2021, 4:55:54 AM

![]() I hope they can work something out for lower end machines like ours. PoE is the only game I play atm that struggles this much, even on low settings / predictive / --waitforpreload Feel like I've taken all performance measures I can other than the potato mode I've seen. "Same here, tried everything. Even the loading is sluggish now on 3.16 |

" Hey, I switched to Vulkan and it is way better now back to 3.15 level of performance. However the CPU and GPU run hotter as Vsync is not supported. Try another renderer to see if the performance is getting better. |

"Vsync should be working in Vulkan mode. The hardware may be running hotter because it is able to be more effectively fed work to do. You can also try ensuring the multi-threading option is enabled at the bottom of the graphics options. Computer specifications:

" Tried but the FPS still stay over 60, maybe something wrong at my end. |

" Happy to hear you're getting better performance! I'll switch it up and see if it works for me to. "The key to winning any fight is simply staying alive."

"For me it locks to 60FPS on my 60Hz display with vsync enabled. Maybe try forcing vsync via the display drivers in addition to in-game? Computer specifications:

Any hint on where's physically that cache folder can be located? I seldom play on that ye olde pc i use for work, and during loading it does make that specific HDD noise while having two SSDs (poe is on one of them of course); can't find it in either options or the ini file.

" Wow! Thanks. The default in NVidia Settings is off, I changed to adaptive and it work wonder now. " The default is at the location of the filter files. Documents\My Games\Path of Exile You can change the location, read the detail here https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3144901/page/1 |
