What I thought was strange was that the Sacred Orb, the item to reroll said stats, was such a rare drop.

lol I missed they also nerfed the crafted defense stats too. Deafening essence of dread is now 370 armor too.

What a waste of space this game is.

They could have left carapased a T1 stats for those who already have a crafted shield in STD, I mean what the heck is wrong with their logic?

It's pretty lame considering that Shield crush isn't even overpowered.

I was curious how my lvl 97 SC will look like with the new patch.
Made changes to the tree, picked many shield, life, impale, and physical damage nodes. Had to craft new item or two because of lost resists.

And new toon has 270 less life, block changed from 70/70 to 85/34, and on hit damage as seen in game went down from 130k to ~100k.

The same with my SST 100 - less life, damage, and spell block. Run one map where Marveil was the boss - while mapping was fine, fighting with the boss felt just longer than usually and quite boring.

Well, this patch changed even more than previous one, and I'm not sure whether that's for better or worse. Definitely different, where in new environment old toys are not that fun anymore ;p
Well it was nice having Spectral Shield Throw in a remotely playable state for a single league before being nerfed back into uselessness. I was thinking the gem nerfs were to compensate for shield buffs, but no, they just nerfed shield skills hard in every way possible.

I almost wonder if they even understand the changes they made, like they had one person nerfing shield gems and another person nerfing shields and they never communicated. Sometimes their nerfs seem so asinine that you have to wonder if it was intentional or not.
They supposedly buffed defense, yet I die/get one shot 3x more than pre patch.
Thanks GGG for another survivability berf.
