Positive is that it is pretty easy and allows to modify corrupted. Also love being able to easy 6 link a corrupted item. The scourge mode was a bit rippy at first, but not so much anymore once I learned a few basics with my build.

The scourge unique bosses are pretty tanky, but their mechanic is not tough. Been running some scourged maps and those can be pretty interesting. The one that randomly flips you in and out was pretty wild. Got a lot of drops in that one.

The atlas changes and other game changes are pretty nice as well.

The negatives are that the scourge is too short in general, timer wise. The crafting takes waaay too long. Especially for tier 3 and maps. At least later you get the ability to do 2 items and 2 maps at a time. That helps some.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

I agree. I really like all the changes and the league mechanic. I do feel like the scaling progression in the scourge is a bit off. Early in the game mob density is very sparse. By the time you get to maps, it is extremely difficult to survive, let alone kill anything. I feel like they may have overestimated how quickly we would ramp up our defenses with the new system. I can see how at some point the character will just kill everything in a square mile with one shot, but end of campaign/early maps its pretty rough.

Pretty sure you are not taking advantage of that sweet sweet armor + evasion stacking.

Well my gear is dogshit atm not much option to stack much just yet. I think my evade is like 30% Feels like item drops got cut by 50%

Visually league is awesome. And fun to see. The style is cool. But here seems it ends so far. On visual design. Because mechanical design is

1. Literally negative contribution to progress from the very start.
2. Unrewarding overall. Even bosses drops trasd rares thats laughable to look at. I had good chunks of lols checking scourged items. None of them usable. None. Zero.
3. Rippy af. Rippy more than original Legion, more than original Syndicate. Lol again. Defences actually doest matter now. King of hc is playing sc? Get this, GGG!

Also, ppl seems have still hope whats when they progress higher - they get rewarded, but scourge mod pool so bad, so top players already srarting to realize hows its actually. When magority lvl up their league skillset things will go to the south very fast.

Its fun now just because we dont rly have valuable items to krangle, and its fun to break any trash ones. Also this league already have second name:

Krangled League
Uninspiring and dull.
Summarized:

League Mechanic: Sucks big time, unrewarding and clunky, gazillions of RNG tending to bad.

Core Changes: Best thing in a lot of time, big amount of QoL improvements.

All the extra changes such as the atlas I've liked very much.

But on a pure league mechanic? Without exaggerating, It's a 2/10.

Visually very cool, love the new demon models and man when you shift it makes original delirium even more funny by contrast, because instead of a no-color filter and some fog, this overlay / change looks awesome.

But that's it for the positive for me, for the whole league mechanic.

1) For the entire focus of a mechanic, VERY unrewarding. Yes, the extra 15 lightning damage on my weapon while leveling was cool, but the rest has been pretty garbage. The mechanic feels half baked. I'm vaaling my gear for what, a resistance and a downside? I'm guessing the 'reward' for scourging gear is in the 1/1500 chance of one of the rare upsides. The rest of the time you're bricking piece after piece.

2) Why do scourged items even drop? These aren't fun to pick up, and they have NO use. This isn't like fractured items where you might find a really good one and go craft on it, because it's already vaaled. Yes, you can add some sockets, noice. But I can't actually USE the terribly rolled helm that might have a good upside. I'm really hoping these pre-scourged items aren't supposed to be part of the reward loop for the mechanic, but I have a feeling they are.

3) Mob damage. Specifically on mob damage, is any regular player even in yellow maps supposed to be able to handle an alched map with damage mods, AND double damage + from the scourge mobs? The damage is nuts.

TLDR; Essentially it's this; constantly bricking gear feels very bad. Having to craft said gear to the point you'd wear it, THEN bricking it feels worse. But not having any gear in the scourge-er feels bad as well, so you throw anything you can into it and brick it, then realize even if it got a good scourge mod, you can't actually craft on it. Also dropped scourge gear makes literally no sense unless there's a secret way to craft on it after.

I'd rather play Synthesis then Scourge any day of the week.
