Will hybrid armour / evasion be good after the update?

Chavolatra, can you elaborate on what you mean by "noob trap"? All I see is copy/pasted stuff from the patch notes. What are you talking about by noob trap?

All unique good unique for armor or evasion is nerfed, include Transcendence, so lost my points stacking defences?

so u think defences are only good if u can stack them with certain uniques? Well guess we're doomed then.
Like I said it's hard to tell if it'll be viable until we see the full tree and have pob running. But I like the possibilities :) PoE2 0.4 Character: https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/Sadaukar-2191/character/Sadaukar_Vaal OS: CachyOS (Arch Linux btw. <3) Last edited by Sadaukar#2191 on Oct 15, 2021, 6:12:44 AM

AR+EV hybrids are definitely going to be stronger this patch than before. Remember that EV gear can roll spell suppression mods, and AR gear can roll % reduced physical damage taken mods. I suspect that hybrid gear can roll both.
While it definitely will be stronger than before because of the new algorithms to armor and evasion, it's not given that it will be "viable". That depends on the tree, and how "easy/cheap" it will be to combine with spell suppression and/or Versatile Combatant. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

I've used hybrid Armor/Evasion on quite a few characters. I guess at a base value it's nothing special but once you over-cap Physical DR with Charges and such, you might as well have Evasion in there.
Then of course Block, Dodge, +% Max Res, Conversion, ect. Which actually has me wondering if it'll be weaker than previous since all these secondary layers are getting reduced. I miss Second Wind Enduring Cry 100% up-time + Immortal Call layering. "Never trust floating women." -Officer Kirac
