Lethe shade keystone question.

So I have a question regarding my plans to use the new keystone letheshade.

As it's worded "if you started taking dot damage in the last second" I assume you don't need to remove any dots you're currently affected by to reset this cooldown each second.

Meaning if I used like stormbrand and golden rule to self poison I could basically have 100% uptime.

To me, this feels correct.
But I would like to know some of your opinions also.

To be more clear.
As long as I'm getting poisoned at least 1 time per second, it should refresh lethe shade.
Because it's technically starting to take dot damage even though I'm already taking dot damage.

Quite certain it only applies if you go from a state of not taking any DoT to taking some form of DoT. The key word being "started".

What this means is bloodrage -duration :^)
