Hi, GGG

Yesterday you've explained new Elemental Overload mechanics and still I dont understand, because you said no word about that - how will it work with totems and traps?

The Elemental Overload Keystone Passive Skill now gives more Hit and Ailment Elemental Damage to Skills if they crit in the last 8 seconds. This means that you can't use a second rapidly hitting skill, making a small amount of critical chance investment much more important to skills taking advantage of Elemental Overload.

So the skill ITSELF need to crit to proc Elemental Overload and get the bonus from it.
Yes, I know, but you DO NOT get Ele Overload if totems or traps crit.

GGG making some changes but they are still people, they can forget about this, because there are not many builds using this keystone with traps and totems.

I still waiting for your answer, dear GGG.

"you" can no longer get Elemental overload. It's bound to the "active skill" that did the crit......

Right, which does not necessarily mean the skills used by a totem cannot get the +40% ele damage, does it? For me, the wording implies that the +40% ele dmg is calculated for every single skill by itself, hence even a totem using a skill can trigger that.

By that I mean that there is no EO buff on you at all anymore. Because if it were, it would need to specify for which skill. Or in other words: you would be able to get several different EO buffs on you for several different skills you use that crit.

Hence my suspicion that the buff is calculated internally and would also work for totems then.

Thoughts?

That is my understanding also. :)
It is just thoughts, not official information.
EO will still be tied to your offensive stats. Since traps, mines, and totems draw from your stats, there is no reason they won't be technically be able to proc it. However, I suspect each mine, trap, and totem will proc it separately. Thus mines and traps will receive no benefit, and totems very limited benefit. Nevertheless, it may be coded to allow any individual one proc it for the rest.

I also suspect the changes will allow for skill effect duration to modify to EO duration.

you can hope for more when the patch notes comes out, but I doubt it.
So I'm seeing EO proc on crits with Wave of Conviction, in the Skill bar UI as patch notes indicate.
However, when it's active, I'm not seeing any increase in damage on the tooltip like I did prior.

Is this a known issue or am I missing something? Thanks in advance for any thoughts!
