" people dont take gb because its better than this theoretical 38% true block, they take it because it smooths shotgunning damage ie if you facetank eradicator with 38% spell block youre more or less dead yet you live with 75% gb block |

" Still think it is better to unallocate it after several (extreme) encounters... Two-handed - Mop

" 1. In pure math calculating single hit it is indeed better to not have glancing for ATTACK hits. The thing with spellblock from GB is that it is much easier to get=you can get more pure armor, evasion, hp,mana and es and the end result is more EHP with GB. But in vacuum GB makes no sense math wise against single hit. even if gb was 50% reduction insted of 35% that it is is we would still have that 1 hit discussion. The thing here is the investment cost, if GB is too far from your tree then never take it. It is not node to path to for no other reason. I also forgot the on block effects, which become much more relliable with GB and may completely make up for any downsides. " Is it? I dont know for sure but would assume if you're unlucky and get hit by Sirus multi stage DIE beam having 50% to block all dmg may soften the curve as good as having 75% chance of taking 65% of dmg.
