Ward is Amazing

I've noticed that the community consensus is that ward sounds awful so why even bother trying it. And I just hope GGG keeps it around because it's wonderful and I think if they keep it then people will eventually try it out and realize how good it is. Pleeeaaassseee keep ward around. Thanks :)

Add to that, in SSF anyway, I've only gotten an item or two with ward on them. Seems hard to even try it out. The cost of giving up an item slot just to see how it would play is too great.

ward is pretty bad without that one flask that makes your ward never drop

Have some unrolled items i will test after league maybe after rolling it with workable base stats. Have the unique ward flask as well from Medved.
I also think it works the best with dodge/evade to give you some extra temporary effective HP. Masterpiece of 3.16 lore

" Yes, it's really for evasion characters. I have two characters that use it. One uses faithguard with some ES% from the tree and on amulet. I get evasion from Fox's Fortune, though Kintsugi would be another good option, as well as Silent Steps, rings, belt and abyss jewels. With an Ample Iron Flask of Runeflaring triggered on savage hit, one hit turns into three and it feels quite tanky. The other I just started this last weekend. It uses Nightgrip to scale damage way up with Skin of the Lords to boost ward. I get evasion from a Silent Steps, Avatar of the Hunt, Reflexes, a ring and an abyss jewel socketed in Darkness Enthroned. And using Raider to further scale up evasion. It's pretty squishy right now, but I've managed to get to yellow maps on a 2-3ex budget and it's level 77 so I still have a lot of life/evasion to build out. I can link my crafted items but how do I do that? I'm a bit new to the forum :) |

if you can afford to run grace aura + blind on a dex dodge/spell dodge charr ward is freaking amazing
it really needs well rolled gear though life + life/ward + ward rolls on most items to make it shine |

Ward also works well with block, and even the elemental aegis abilities.
|

Ward WOULD be good for evasion builds if it didn't require uniques to scale.
