POE size on hd

Just checked my GGG folder
74GB with 320,000 files Seems very big and a hell of a lot of files. Could be why every thing runs so slow? Last bumped on Sep 22, 2021, 4:44:12 PM

There's a tool for trimming that down... head over to "Tech Support" forum and find out more. There's a lot of unused stuff that piles up and you have to trim it.

Mine is a shade over 27GB.

How big is the Logs directory?

Could not find the tools. Thought there was a sticky somewhere with a list of them all.
Uninstaled the game and was still left with 30+GB and over 300,000 files in the GG folder. Did a manual delete of them and did a reinstall Now have 25GB in 26 files. Wonder where the hell the 300,000 files came from. |

They are mainly talking about the files in C:\Users\[username]\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile.
The 300k files werr in the main GGG program folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Grinding Gear Games\Path of Exile |

At least the steam version tends to leave a lot of clutter after each major patch, usually for me simply reinstalling the game can suddenly clear a good few gigabites just from old unused files that are not even included in the latest version

ehh no the steam version doesn't leave clutter as of DEC 2020 they changed it to be loose files
the steam version is the best version atm. |
