If you're focusing on XP and running solo then you need to target safety over an added 10% mobs on your maps.

Run Heists and Maps blue with non dangerous mods.

IMO Heists are better than maps in this regard, because there's less outlandish spike damage and you don't run up against horrendous boss mechanics or multiphase boss mechanics. If you have a build than can consistently run repositories, and you're practiced at it, its consistently good xp with the added bonus of good loot. I find it cathartic, but others can find it boring.

Grand Heist Repositories are amazing for XP.

Running blue t16s with easy non-phasing bosses is only 10% less mobs than a comfortable alched map. With all the mobs added from sextants and scarabs you can still roll along at respectable xp.

Valdo's Jun missions provide excellent xp, as does running the safehouses.

Run Heists and Jun in Valdos to build up abyss scarabs.

Then farm abysses in New Vastir with abyss scarabs .. xp thru the roof with 3 or 4 abysses. This is much safer than running beyond in Tirn.

Look out for a couple of Unique maps with boosted XP .. Pillars of Arun is my favourite. Easy as you like, linear as long as you have a travel skill, and excellent XP. I've got 20 of these saved up for my 98 to 99 grind. Poorjoys is amazing too, just make sure you can counter the vuln curses and explosions, otherwise its risky.

I'm saving up my Pure Breachstones from Valdo Betrayal farming for the 99 to 100 push.
