Big lag spikes all the time

hello

I am experiencing some ping issues I have never had before. My ping is dead flat then it spikes to the moon in a continuous manner (like I was disconnecting but that only sometimes happens). It goes "30,31,32,33,(...)5000,5001..." instead of usual "30-500-150-30-200..." (at least according to the F1 button :P). Other than in PoE my connection is flawless like always. It happens in all EU servers. Did the MTR thingy, but have no idea what goes wrong there:

thanks in advance

you sure you used thet correct IP in the WInMTR report -->
instance ip when you are in an instance playing (like a map) and having this problem ??
You are right. I've made a mistake. The instructions were not clear to be honest. One note. US west works just fine but having constant 130 ping is just not pleasant. Another note is that I have these problems in all EU instances and I don't confuse instance with gateway / realm.

Update? The problem still exists.

Looks like packet loss starts at the ISP peering point.
Try contacting your ISP and show them the WinMTR report.
They claim the packet loss starts beyond their side.

They suggested:
A: router port switch to fit PoE (whatever that means),
B: public addressing (done by them for 1 EUR/month extra),
C: VPN,
D: waiting that the host will fix itself eventually.

Note I didn't have any problems for years. It started like 2-3 weeks ago.
What should I do? What are the upsides and downsides of the point A and B?

Hmm, I am a infrastructure specialist and even I am unsure on some of their replies....

A: router port switch to fit PoE (whatever that means)
--> no sure what they mean here.....

B: public addressing (done by them for 1 EUR/month extra)
--> Hmm, could be them giving you a better trafic route / peering point. However if it's just a static public IP then I don't see that doing anything.....

C: VPN
--> Yes this could fix the issue since you will properly bypass this problem. Could try something like
- https://www.exitlag.com/en

D: waiting that the host will fix itself eventually
--> yes also possible however it looks to me that the problem starts before GGG's hosting partner.....
Are you saying they just flushed me down the toilet, so I don't bother them anymore? What should I tell them / do? I hate being bounced from one person to another claiming it's not their fault. :(

As I see it, this is basicly the trafic flow -->
Your ISP - Other ISP - GGG hosting partner.

ae67.edge3.Warsaw1.Level3.net - 1 | 533 | 530 | 5 | 8 | 40 | 9 |
No response from host - 100 | 110 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
195.122.180.62 - 3 | 502 | 491 | 27 | 30 | 83 | 30 |

You could try the VPN option for now (I believe both have a free trial period) just to see if that solves the problem because then we know for sure what it is....

Also you could ask them for more detailed information about option A and B.

Okay, testing ExitLag now. I presume it needs some time to verify if it actually helps, so I will keep you in touch later. So far it looks like it works though. Also, do you want me to run WinMTR again?
